What is builder gel?

Builder gel is a thick gel used to strengthen natural nails or create extensions. It adds structure and durability, ideal for overlays or sculpting. It cures under UV/LED light and comes in soak-off (soft) or file-off (hard) formulas.

How to use builder gel on natural nails

• Prep nails (push back cuticles, buff, and cleanse).

• Apply pH nail bonder and primer.

• Apply a thin layer of builder gel, then cure.

• Apply a second, thicker layer to build the apex; cure again.

• File and shape as needed.

• Finish with color or top coat.

How to remove builder gel

• Soft gel: File the top, soak in acetone for 10–15 minutes, and gently push off.

• Hard gel: File down carefully (cannot be soaked off), then buff smooth.
